The new theatre is surrounded by large, green, open spaces which meld with the landlocked environment. In its large foyer and the huge external areas are the works by sculptors and artists that make up the ‘Sculpting Opera’ project which combines works by the greatest twentieth century artists and the immortal music of Giacomo Puccini. There will be a collection of the more significant works signed by great artists and also thematic areas dedicated to Puccini operas in the ‘Sculpting’ Park - a veritable open-air museum depicting the history of opera and contemporary art.
