A large arena with 3370 seats, a modern amphitheatre arising from an extraordinary marriage between tradition, the natural environment and technological innovation.

A new Theatre standing on the same ground where for over 70 years the festival to Giacomo Puccini has been dedicated, those magical scenes which have spellbound audiences from all over the world.

An enormous stage, comfortable stalls and an auditorium with 500 seats surrounded by large natural spaces evoking the atmosphere which so inspired Giacomo Puccini’s immortal music.

The creation of the Parco della Musica di Giacomo Puccini in Torre del Lago and the realisation of the new Theatre are innovative examples of the redevelopment of the earlier site and installations.

These provide settings for music, live performances and contemporary art, in order to preserve and improve the area that inspired one of the greatest musicians in the history of music.

The new theatre is surrounded by large, green, open spaces which meld with the landlocked environment. In its large foyer and the huge external areas are the works by sculptors and artists that make up the ‘Sculpting Opera’ project which combines works by the greatest twentieth century artists and the immortal music of Giacomo Puccini. There will be a collection of the more significant works signed by great artists and also thematic areas dedicated to Puccini operas in the ‘Sculpting’ Park - a veritable open-air museum depicting the history of opera and contemporary art.
