Madama Butterfly, one of the Maestro’s most popular operas, which captivates audiences worldwide with the poetry and drama that characterise the ill-fated geisha’s love story, is being staged at the Puccini Festival for four performances, with an intriguing interpretation by Pier Luigi Pizzi, who is responsible for the direction, set design and costumes.
