23 January will mark a historic date for our Academy. We are honoured to announce that Maestro Plácido Domingo himself, in his new role as Director, will launch the 2026 academic year.

The Maestro will meet with students, the public and the press to unveil his vision and the Academy’s new direction, alongside all our teachers. An unmissable opportunity to experience the excellence of opera at first hand.

To make the event even more special, there will be a concert afterwards. A number of current and former students of the Academy will give an exclusive performance in the presence of Maestro Domingo and the teaching staff. A wonderful opportunity to appreciate the voices that will carry on our operatic tradition.

– 5.00 pm – Sala Belvedere: Presentation of the academic year with Maestro Domingo
– 6.30 pm – Auditorium Enrico Caruso: Concert by current and former students of the Academy
