All for Puccini

The ‘Tutti Per Puccini’ project will make the performances at the 2025 Puccini Festival accessible to blind and visually impaired people, deaf and hard-of-hearing people, and people with cognitive disabilities.

The opera on the programme, Turandot, will be made accessible thanks to:

Trailer with subtitles, voice-over and translation into Italian Sign Language (LIS)

Audio introductions and audio descriptions via portable radios fitted with earphones, provided by the theatre

Subtitles specifically designed for deaf people, streamed to personal mobile devices, along with reading aids provided by the theatre to ensure comfortable and easy reading

Work descriptions in easy-to-read language, as defined by the European Union

In addition, each performance in the project will be preceded by a multi-sensory experience offering a glimpse behind the scenes at the props, costumes, sets and Puccini’s music

The dates for the ‘Tutti Per Puccini’ project are as follows:

22 August: Turandot

5 September: Turandot

On each date, the tour begins at the Giacomo Puccini Open-Air Theatre at 7.00 pm and will last 40 minutes; an Italian Sign Language (LIS) interpreting service will also be available.

The performance begins at 9.15 pm, and we recommend arriving about 20 minutes early so that you can make use of all the facilities. The theatre staff will be on hand to assist you with any queries you may have.

The ticket price, which includes the tour and all services, is €30 (instead of €63, third-sector tickets) for people with disabilities, whilst the accompanying person pays a nominal fee of €1.
